Hi,
Past months have been busy for me.
My mum gones to Tanzania to look after my grandma who got another cancer while I look after her house and my house plus cooked for men! - my hubby, dad & brother.
When mum came back with grandma and granddad and they stayed for 2 months. So busying with them and show them around Dubai as it was their first time to visit Dubai. They often visit us when we lived in London, UK. But they found boring here, lol. Maybe its old age.
Once they left 2 weeks ago, my young sister flew down for 1 month holiday. She'll leaving this week so will miss her alot.
Only 1 month to go before be busy full time from June.
Hi,
Have been watch the movie, Slumdog Millionaire on laptop that my husb download from internet.
First night, we watch first half. It was alright but continue watch second on other night.
Its really good. I would advise this movie to all to watch it.
I realise why this movie got many awards from Golden Globe Awards and Screen Actor Guild Awards recenlty.
I'm sure they will get some from British Awards which held on Sunday Feb 8th and also at Oscars.
I've said that the movie is Hollywood but made in Indian style, Bollywood and the flim based in Mumbai.
What do you think of this film?
Update: 2nd Feb
Some quotes from the newspaper that some people are not happy with the movie or the title:
"Dogs named after Slumdog crew"
A critic of Slumdog Millionaire has named stray dogs after those involved in the film to protest against the title.
Nicholas Almeida, a social activist and slum-dweller, has filed a complaint in a local court against director Danny Boyle, producer Christian Colson and the distributor, saying the title was discriminating.
"When the British ruled India, they called Indians 'dogs'. Why do we want to call these children 'dogs' 60 years after independence?" asked Almeida, an elected member of the city's civic body who lives in a suburban slum.
I think they are right. Why they called not nice title? Why not use other word or just Millionaire?
Hi,
New Year's Eve was not much like last year which with my cousins from Tanazina and uncle and sister from London to watch firework next to Burj Arab.
